Others are her grandmother, volunteer Pat Laroque, and Manager Kalaben. Niyati made the trip with them. The parents are able to find only casual work.

Left, The Grandmother with her older sister, who was trapped under the rubble for nine days before she was rescued. Her toes were seriously injured. The long confinement affected her mind. She blames her sister for not getting her out.
