Engineers Without Borders help out in Nepal
Some university students in Ottawa called Engineers Without Borders are planning a project to enchance learning opportunities for women and children in Nepal.
Child Haven currently runs a computer training facility, located at our home in Nepal, offering affordable computer training to disadvantaged members of the community.
The Engineers Without Borders project will increase the number of computers there from five to ten; introduce a computer-based curriculum for the Child Haven children; provide a computer to a rural hospital that performs free eye surgery to the poorest rural residents of Nepal; and also provide a computer network and curriculum to a local school in Kathmandu.
Software and hardware donations to this project are being gratefully accepted.
