At right, the four-acre plot of land on the edge of Kaliyampoondi Village that we are purchasing to build our own home - instead of renting eight houses in the village. Below, Bonnie with flowers in her hair, closing the deal with the owner of the above four acres and her husband.

To the right of Bonnie is Laxmi Reddiar and his mother. When the land purchase became known, a group of villagers came to Manager Nathan and were shouting loudly to protest Child Haven's moving out of the village. Bonnie explained to them, through Nathan's interpretation, that it was only to the edge of the village, and maybe the village would expand to surround Child Haven again.
